What are the differences between online UPS and offline UPS

2.Online UPS: We can also define  it as true online, double conversion UPS. This UPS will convert  the AC power into DC and again DC to AC. And that's why, this is called as double conversion UPS.The connected load always gets power through Inverter. Offline UPS: This UPS will only stabilize the voltage when mains power is onand there will not be any protection for spike or frequency tolerance. This UPS will only convert DC to AC when mains power is off.The connected load gets power from Inverter only when the mains power goes off.

3.Online ups inverter is always on when mains power goes off battery give power but in offline ups  inverter always in off condition inverter on when mains power goes off.

4.Online UPS output will be pure  sine wave always. Offline UPS output  will be square wave,not  pure sine wave.
